about

Experiments Vol 1 represents a transition for Lemon Tree from a sample driven, digital based process to a human driven, instrument based process. The idea was to use all of the current technology available to make it sound like it was recorded through an analogue desk onto tape, adding a thick, full bodied, timeless quality to the recording, whilst delivering the modern day demands of a big phat bottom end.

There is virtuoso musicianship as well as union rate and pocket grooves. There is no lyrical content. no opinions or views are offered, but there are many voices some happy, some melancholy and some twisted and slightly disturbing, reaching out on an emotional and physiological level with no attempt at being thought provoking in anyway.

We hope it will envelope you like a marshmallow overcoat and put the band in the room with you. so time to switch your head off and let your mind wander through the different landscapes, and let the guitar anti hero, twisted gypsy groove take you away.
